My name is Kevin Schiel and I am a print and web designer in the Wilkes-barre/Scranton area. My attention to detail and passion for creating led to an obsession with helping people visually communicate their ideas through design. Even if there is no client, I am constantly learning new aspects of design and pursuing projects. Design is more than just a career I chose, it is an integral and important part of my life. It’s what I do.

I obtained my associates degree at Luzerne County Community College where I excelled in Advertising/Graphic Design and created an award winning portfolio. More recently, I graduated from Wilkes University where I obtained my BA in Integrative Media with a minor in art. I am proficient in the Adobe Creative Suite,  HTML, CSS, and Wordpress. My skills lie in brand development and the implementation of that across both print and web mediums. My specialties are print and web, but I also enjoy motion graphics and packaging design. I find that my hobbies are always based in some form of creativity. I gravitate towards things like photography and drawing that tend to be secondary skills that can enhance and add depth to any project I may encounter.

No matter what project I take on, I like to start with a pencil and sketchbook. This idea generation is important and explored without the constrictions or limits of computer software. I put high importance on conceptualization. From there the project blooms; I use any medium it takes to shape these ideas into its polished, final product.
